Key Responsibilities of the Business Systems Lead

  • Own and optimise our business systems, including ERP, Microsoft 365, Transport Management, Project Management, and HR platforms.
  • Lead and mentor a development team, ensuring the successful delivery of system integrations and enhancements.
  • Manage Azure DevOps, API Management, and Logic Apps, ensuring development pipelines run smoothly.
  • Drive process improvements by assessing system options and implementing best-fit solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to enhance system functionality and user experience.
  • Develop and implement strategies for system lifecycle management, vendor relationships, and IT governance.
  • Act as the key escalation point for system-related issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Provide training and support to end-users to maximise adoption and efficiency.
    What We’re Looking For in a Business Systems Lead
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in IT applications management, ERP, product ownership or related fields.
  • Expertise in ERP, API Management, DevOps, ITIL, and project methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to assess business needs and implement effective system solutions.
  • Experience in the freight, 3PL, or eCommerce industry is a plus.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
