About The Role
Role Purpose:
The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, high-performance, and scalable cloud infrastructure. This role supports the organization's business objectives by ensuring seamless cloud operations, optimizing performance, and enhancing security. The successful candidate will be required to collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud services, automate processes, and drive innovation, contributing to Cala digital transformation and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities / Deliverables:

Design:

  • Develop and implement Azure cloud-based solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud services into applications.
    Implementation and Management:
  • Set up and configure cloud environments, including networking, security, and storage.
  • Manage cloud resources and services, ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
    Security and Compliance:
  • Implement and maintain security best practices for cloud environments.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities.
    Monitoring and Optimization:
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and availability.
  • Optimize cloud resources to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure.
    Migration and Integration:
  • Assist in migrating on-premises systems to the cloud.
  • Integrate cloud services with existing on-premises systems and applications.

    About The Candidate
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
     
    Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
     
    Skills:
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture and services.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g. Python, PowerShell).
  • Good knowledge and working practice of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
     
    Certifications:
  • Some of the following Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer, other Azure Certifications, or similar.
     
    Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering or a related role.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure. Exposure to Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform is advantageous.
  • Exposure to Agile working practic
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines).
  • Experience with Defender, Sentinel, Purview advantageous.
  • Experience with integration tools (e.g. Mulesoft and Boomi
