As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in enhancing and maintaining data platforms. You will support the deployment and maintenance of applications and services at the data layer, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and security of all platform data sets. This includes working with Microsoft SQL databases, batch file data, and Microsoft Fabric data lakes.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide internal and external technical support for data platforms.

Work within the SQL release pipeline to ensure consistency and reliability of product enhancements across non-production and production environments.

code reviews and approvals prior to release.

Collaborate with the DBA function to assess proposed changes to platform data transformations and structures, ensuring efficiency of SQL execution and overall database performance.

Participate in project workstreams focused on data platform enhancements.

Monitor resource metrics, proactively identifying and remediating potential issues with minimal customer impact.

Work with product development and platform engineering teams to implement cloud-first solutions for customers.

Maintain documentation of the data landscape.

Requirements:

Technical Skills:

Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL, including experience with SSIS, SSRS, Python, and cloud-native data tools.

Experience working with Microsoft SQL and file data storage in cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.

Exposure to Azure DevOps and SQL release pipelines, with an understanding of the software development lifecycle.

Understanding of encryption principles and handling of cryptographic artifacts.

Minimum 3+ years of experience in an application support or data engineering role.

Foundational experience writing automation scripts in PowerShell.

Experience with Azure Synapse or Microsoft Fabric is advantageous.

Strong problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail
