About the Company
We’re a growing waste management company based in Lancaster, providing reliable and sustainable waste collection services to commercial and industrial clients across the region. With our continued expansion, we’re looking for a hardworking and dependable 3.5 tonne driver to join our team and help keep Manchester clean and green.
The Role
As a 3.5 Tonne Driver, you’ll be responsible for the safe and timely collection of waste from customer sites. You’ll be the face of our company on the road, so a professional attitude, good customer service skills, and a strong work ethic are essential.
Key Responsibilities

Drive a 3.5 tonne vehicle to complete daily waste collection routes across the Greater Manchester area
Load and unload bins, bags, or other waste containers, ensuring safe handling and lifting practices
Complete all paperwork and digital logs accurately, including collection records and vehicle checks
Communicate effectively with the transport team to report issues, delays, or customer feedback
Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle
Follow all health and safety regulations and company procedures
Deliver excellent customer service during all client interactions Requirements

Full UK driving licence (Cat B) with experience driving 3.5 tonne vans or similar vehicles
Good physical fitness – the role involves manual handling and lifting
Reliable, punctual, and a team player with a positive attitude
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Ability to work independently and follow a route schedule Preferred Experience

Previous experience in waste collection, recycling, delivery driving, or similar roles
Basic knowledge of waste handling or environmental services (training provided) What We Offer
