BASED AT CLIENT LOCATIONS, WORKING REMOTELY, OR BASED IN OUR GODALMING OR MILTON KEYNES OFFICES.
Due to the nature of this position, you must be willing and eligible to achieve a minimum of SC clearance. To be eligible, you must have been a resident in the UK for a minimum of 5 years and have the right to work in the UK.
Role Summary
Triad is seeking a Java Developer to play a key role in our client assignments. You will design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions that meet our clients' needs. You will work closely with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives while maintaining high coding and security standards. As part of an agile team, you will contribute to the full software development lifecycle from requirement analysis to deployment and support.

    Essential Skills and Experience
  • Experience in Java development (Java 17+)
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful API development
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Experience working with Agile delivery teams with a User Centred Design approach
  • Proficiency in unit testing and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito, etc.)
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
  • Database experience (SQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to design scalable, maintainable software solutions by applying SOLID/DRY principles
  • Ability to build relationships with clients, stakeholders, and end users
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    Nice to Have:
  • Experience working in the UK Public Sector with a good understanding of GDS Service Manual
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js)
  • Experience with API security and OAuth2 authentication mechanisms
  • Understanding of message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
  • Active contributor to communities of practice

      Our Selection Process
      After applying, our in-house talent team will introduce Triad, discuss the role, and gather basic information. If shortlisted, you will have an interview with a senior member of Triad staff to explore mutual cultural fit and allow you to ask questions. Following that, you will be invited to attend a final stage 'workshop' based interview with the senior management team.
