We are recruiting for full-time Night Shift workers.

Operating food production machines on the outskirts of Southampton and Winchester.

Own car or motorbike is essential due to rural location and no public transport links.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 10pm to 6:15am.

40-Hours Per Week

Hourly Pay Rate: £14.04ph (Starting Rate)

Start Date: Sunday 30th March

Overview:

You will be working on a range of food production machines, in a very busy and strict food hygiene environment.

Wearing PPE, following food handling protocols, and safety standards, lifting and carrying ingredients, containers, sacks up to 25KG, and on your feet all day.

Working in an ambient temperature environment, to daily worksheets listing ingredients weights, processing times, quality check procedures, to ensure final products are not contaminated and ready for storage and resell.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor food production machinery efficiently during the night shift.

  • Ensure compliance with HACCP and food safety standards throughout the production process.

  • Conduct routine checks on equipment and perform basic maintenance as needed.

  • Measure and mix ingredients accurately, utilizing basic math skills.

  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized workspace.

  • Report any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.

    Essential Requirements:

  • Able to communicate fluently in English (written and verbal).

  • Have own transport (car or motorbike).

  • Able to wear required PPE and adhere to health and safety policies.

  • Able to start work on Sunday 30th March.

  • Previous machine operating experience.

  • Can work full-time in the UK for 3.5 months minimum or as permanent worker.

  • Able to work 8-hours a day in a physically demanding role, up and down stairs, lifting and carrying products to and from machines.

    Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in food production environments.

  • Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations.

  • Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment operation and maintenance.

  • Strong basic math skills for inventory and production calculations.

  • Ability to work effectively during night shifts in a fast-paced environment.

  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

    Summary:

    As a Night Shift Food Production Operative, you will be integral to our food production team, ensuring high-quality standards are met during the night hours. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, your core responsibility will be to assist in the efficient processing and packaging of food products. You will utilize your premium skills in HACCP and food safety to maintain compliance with health regulations. Additionally, your relevant skills in mechanical knowledge and basic math will support operational efficiency, making you a vital part of our commitment to delivering safe and delicious food to our customers.

    This role is suitable for someone with the above experience and transferable skills who can commit to a 3.5-month fixed term contract, or someone who wants a full-time permanent position who is able to change shift patterns after 3.5-months, to either days or afternoons.
