Salary; £28,000 - £32,000 Depending on experience + Bonuses

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 - 17:00pm - (4 days offices based 1 working form home)

If booking shipments, managing overseas agents, and ensuring that containers are on course is your idea of a good time, then you might just be the ocean freight operator we've been waiting for!

Join our team as an Experienced Ocean Freight Operator, where you'll steer the ship (so to speak) of our ocean freight operations, ensuring everything from the dock to the destination runs smoothly. Whether you're booking shipments, liaising with shipping lines, or coordinating haulage across the UK, this is the perfect role for someone with a love of logistics, the ocean, and a bit of paperwork too.

Role Overview:

As an Experienced Ocean Freight Operator, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end management of ocean freight shipments, including booking, arranging transportation with shipping lines, and coordinating with overseas agents and customers. You'll make sure shipments are on track, customs clearance is smooth sailing (if you're familiar with it!), and the final mile delivery is seamless. With your expert knowledge of Cargowise, you'll ensure all milestones and documentation are spot on - like a true logistics pro.

Key Responsibilities:

Booking Shipments: Take the helm when it comes to booking ocean freight shipments with Origin and Destination, working closely with shipping lines, overseas agents, and customers to ensure a smooth journey.
Overseas Coordination: Liaise with overseas agents and customers to guarantee that shipments are on time, in full, and on the right course.
UK Haulage & Deliveries: Organise UK haulage and delivery arrangements, ensuring the final mile is as smooth as the rest of the journey.
Cargowise Experience: You will ideally be proficient in Cargowise, managing data input, milestones, and shipping documentation with ease.
Documentation: Handle all necessary documentation, ensuring shipments are fully compliant and on schedule.What We Need From You:

Experience: At least 2 years of experience in ocean freight operations, with a focus on imports (exports are a nice bonus, but not required). If you have other mode experience, we're happy to consider you!Perks & Benefits:
