About Us

We are a UK-wide Software Engineering Business specializing in Defence. As we embark on exciting new projects set to commence in 2025, we are seeking an experienced Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our elite team. You'll be working on high-impact projects for the Ministry of Defence (MOD), contributing to national security while advancing your career in a dynamic, innovative environment.

Your Role

As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, you will:

Lead Agile Delivery Teams: Use agile methodologies and DevOps techniques to support a large technical refresh project for the MOD.
Architect and Innovate: Be involved from the early stages of architecture creation, through design and development, to delivering cutting-edge solutions.
Full Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee project concept formalization, requirements analysis, architecture design, implementation, and delivery.
Customer Relationship Management: Manage and maintain relationships with our customers, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design Scalable Architectures: Implement robust infrastructure architectures tailored for Cloud/DevSecOps.
Secure Development & Deployment: Oversee the secure development, testing, deployment, release, operation, and monitoring of software products.
Automated CICD Pipelines: Design and operate automated Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines.
Platform Services: Manage shared platform services for deployment, operation, and monitoring, including containerized products using Kubernetes.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Write and deploy IaC, ensuring seamless deployment across public and private cloud environments (AWS, Azure, On-Prem).
Agile Best Practices: Implement and advocate for best practice Agile methodologies like SCRUM & Kanban.
Consultancy & Mentorship: Provide consultancy support, assisting customers with technology choices and complex solutions, while mentoring early-career employees.

Knowledge & Skills

Security Expertise: Deep understanding of security principles and practices to protect project infrastructures.
Cloud Mastery: Proficiency in AWS, Azure, and other cloud technologies.
DevOps Techniques: Expertise in virtualization, containerization, CI/CD, and IaC.
Agile Implementation: Experience with Agile methodologies, leading design, development, and feature upgrades.
Technical Leadership: Ability to mentor and support team members, ensuring the delivery team adheres to best practices.

Clearance Requirements

Due to the sensitive nature of our projects, candidates must be eligible for security clearance. This requires British citizenship and having lived in the UK for the past 5 years- Ideally with SC Clearance currently or recently lapsed.
