Hybrid (2-3 days per week in office)
£120k - £130k + 100% of salary in Shares + Private Healthcare

SR2 are exclusively partnered with a post Series-A Mission Driven Startup who are moving closer towards profitability, they are on a mission to make the investment system more sustainable all whilst using cutting-edge SaaS technology. We’re looking to hire a VP of Engineering who is going to be setting the on-going technical vision, leading their engineering teams and playing a big role in helping them to expand their SaaS product into Europe & US for the first time ever!

About you…

Are you an experienced, well-seasoned engineering leader with a history of working within B2B SaaS environments?

Do you have modern Cloud experience and Product background?

Perhaps you have moved into a more senior leadership role within engineering in recent years, or you are thinking about stepping into a more strategic senior technical role in your next move…

This is an opportunity for someone who has a history of facing challenges such as scalability, reliability, security and essentially the ability to run a complicated system with lots of moving parts whilst supporting a team of very senior engineers or tech leads to solve complex problems.

We’re looking for expertise and experience in technologies such as Backend services (GoLang, Java, C++, Python etc), Microservices, SaaS Cloud, AWS, Kubernetes and Terraform.

If you're local to Bristol, and on the lookout for a fulfilling and exciting challenge within Engineering Leadership… this role will give you the chance to scale a purpose-driven platform whilst leading a high performing engineering team!

Experience Needed:

✔ Experienced leading teams within B2B SaaS Cloud environment
✔ Software Engineering background and expertise within modern CI/CD, AWS and Kubernetes
✔ Experienced in leading/managing senior software engineers/tech leads
✔ Comfortable diving into code reviews, architectural reviews and contributing to architectural design
✔ Passion for best engineering practices & embedding security principles
✔ Strong personal interest in impact-driven/ethical work

🔹 Line Management of 5 Tech Leads & coaching the wider engineering team
🔹 Setting the ongoing technical vision & architecture
🔹 Delivery & Execution
🔹 Cross-functional collaboration & stakeholder management
