Forklift Driver

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety protocols, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.

Duties

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  
  
• Load and unload materials from lorries and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
  
  
• Manage inventory by accurately tracking materials using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  
  
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts to ensure optimal performance.
  
  
• Assist in shipping and receiving processes, including verifying shipments against packing lists.
  
  
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety regulations at all times.
  
  
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and efficient warehouse operations.
  
  Experience
  
  
• Proven experience in materials handling within a warehouse environment is preferred.
  
  
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs.
  
  
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, as well as warehouse management systems.
  
  
• Competence in basic maths for inventory management and order processing.
  
  
• Ability to lift heavy loads safely, demonstrating physical stamina and strength.

  Hours for work:
  
  4 weeks training Monday to Friday 6am-2pm and after that there will be a change of hours to suit both parties
