VIQU have partnered with a global fintech firm who are seeking a Security SME to join their new and evolving Security Product team. As the Security SME, you will play a key role in safeguarding their technology systems against cyber threats. The Security SME will possess a strong track record of embedding security into the architecture and development of systems across multiple platforms, including cloud services, business applications, and core infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities of the Security SME:

Implement security controls across trading infrastructure, cloud services, and business applications.
Work with engineering and product teams to embed security into design and development for large-scale systems.
Maintain a secure SDLC, ensuring secure coding practices.
Perform threat modelling, vulnerability assessments, and code reviews to strengthen security at all stages.
Assess third-party security practices to ensure compliance with internal standards.
Integrate security scanning tools into CI/CD pipelines for continuous monitoring across cloud and on-prem systems.
Identify and mitigate security risks in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
Key Requirements of the Security SME:

7+ years’ experience in product security or securing large-scale software development.
Strong coding background in Python, C++, Rust, Go, and Kotlin/Java.
Expertise in system architecture, security tools, and secure coding practices.
Deep understanding of software and cloud security, including AWS, Azure, and Alibaba Cloud.
Experience securing Windows and Linux systems.
Skilled in threat modelling, risk assessment, and mitigation for complex systems.
Proven experience with CI/CD security integration and third-party security reviews.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills in fast-paced settings.
