Systems Administrator

Are you an experienced Systems Administrator looking for a new challenge? My client, a forward-thinking and innovative company, is seeking a Systems Administrator to manage and maintain its critical IT infrastructure across multiple UK sites.

About the Role

As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of the infrastructure. You will play a key role in managing containerization and orchestration technologies across both on-premise and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

Deploy, operate, and maintain Kubernetes clusters on both bare metal and cloud platforms.

Manage Docker containerization solutions for seamless application deployment.

Administer and optimize virtualization technologies to ensure optimal performance.

Implement and manage VMware solutions across multiple sites.

Work with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance, security, and scalability.

Ensure high availability and disaster recovery plans are in place and maintained.

Standardize and optimize infrastructure across several UK sites.

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience as a Systems Administrator in a complex IT environment.

Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, both on-premises (bare metal) and in cloud environments.

Extensive knowledge of Docker and container orchestration.

Advanced understanding of virtualization technologies, including VMware and other hypervisor platforms.

Experience managing multi-site IT infrastructure and ensuring seamless operations.

Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
