Avanti Recruitment are currently working with a small but rapidly growing, multinational software house who are on a mission to revolutionise the airline industry. They are currently scaling and are looking for multiple Mid-Level Kotlin Developers. The company works on a fully remote basis with meet-ups in London so ideally you will be within commuting distance of Central London.

This role will be a fully hands-on position, where you will find yourself joining a small team of 8 people, with growth plans to growth throughout the year So if you are looking for progression opportunities, career growth, and the opportunity to provide a direct and meaningful impact then this could be the role for you.

You will find yourself writing code in Kotlin for their API-based systems for some of the biggest players in the airline industry. You will work across the full SDLC, including architectural and design discussions. You will be collaborating in defining, building, iterating, and testing core products including building new features for their API-based product. The technology you will be using consists of Kotlin as the main language and a Spring/Springboot Microservices architecture which is hosted on AWS. You will be working on improving and building the solutions with a team of like-minded and creative developers.

Tech stack: Kotlin, Spring/Springboot, Java, PostgreSQL, AWS, Microservices, Typescript, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, JSON/REST, SOAP and XML.

The company want someone with Kotlin experience, and will consider someone from an android background providing you have also done Java backend Development.

Essential Skills:

  • Kotlin (Backend Development)

  • Springboot / Spring

  • REST API Development

  • SOAP/JSON experience

    Desirable:

  • AWS

  • JSON/XML

  • Redis

  • Docker / Kubernetes

  • Node.JS

  • RabbitMQ

  • PostgreSQL

    Interview process:

    1st – CEO discussion (45mins) – Cultural discussion / overview of company / Role / Growth plans

    2nd – Technical Q&A with Engineering team – 1 Hour

    Final – CEO discussion – make sure both are happy – 30 minutes

    The salary for this position is up to £60,000 (DOE) + Equity + fully remote working and 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays).
