The Company

Currently recruiting for a vastly growing Chemical Manufacturing business. The business are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join their expanding team.

The Role

In the Senior Software Developer role, you are expected to contribute to and direct the Software Development team in the development process, as well as liaising with and management of third parties. A key element of this role is possessing a deep understanding of coding languages and software development programs. Success in this position is demonstrated by the development of high-quality applications that fulfil user requirements.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field – Essential

Minimum of 5 years of experience in computer programming or similar field

Exceptional leadership capabilities

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Ability to perform and deal with 1st Line support issues and when required – Highly Desirable

Ability to speak Chinese/Mandarin? – Essential

Special Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

Strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to communicate at different levels.

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Proven ability to analyse systems and build automation processes.

Able to work to tight deadlines.

Project management and creation and implementing design plans.

In depth knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB) and e-commerce solutions like EDI, PunchOut and APIs.

Knowledge of Power BI – Essential

Knowledge of WordPress – Essential

Laravel Websites – Highly Desirable

Languages

PHP

Python

SQL

Frameworks

Laravel

Also, experience in AWS or other cloud platforms, Docker, and Git/version control
