Software Engineer - Working with Python, PHP, AWS and Node.js & TypeScript
My client builds cutting edge Data Analytic systems and who have a platform that is revolutionising the electric vehicle fleet management industry on a global scale.
This company are looking for a Back End Software Engineer with experience in either Node/TypeScript, Python or PHP and who is interested in building systems in PHP and Python AWS using Lambda and Serverless Architecture
This is a Hybrid working role on the outskirts of Hove, Brighton area and paying up to £75k (depending on experience).
Please note – this is NOT a remote role, but requires the Software Engineer to go into office in Brighton as well as some home working.
The software you would be working on consumes and transforms big datasets and provide insights into risk, cost, optimisation, and utilisation, as well as tracking, geolocation, and administration functions.
The Role
We are looking for a cross discipline Software Engineer to work on AWS Serverless backend using TypeScript and also some API development in PHP and Python.
This is an opportunity to architect and develop leading edge services including:

  • PHP / Symfony / Laravel
  • AWS Lambda
  • Step Functions
  • OpenSearch
  • DynamoDB
  • ElastiCache
  • S3 & EC2
  • EventBridge
  • API Gateway
  • CloudFormation
  • Coding in TypeScript, Node, PHP and some Python.
    This is a role for an engineering mindset and the candidate will be comfortable discussing and implementing design patterns, event driven architecture and serverless.
    This role is open to mid-level and senior developers and the successful candidate will be passionate about Software Engineering. If you don't love Software Engineering, then don't apply.
    Skills and Experience:
    You will need a solid understanding of:
  • Object Oriented Software Development, preferably in PHP, TypeScript or Python
  • Software Design Patterns and their implementation
  • Ideally have experience in cloud engineering, preferably AWS, or be able to demonstrate solid understanding of principle architecture.
